Anne Kent Rush, a descendant of Dr. Benjamin Rush, an American health revolutionary who signed the Declaration of Independence, was born in Mobile, Alabama. She is the author of The Back Rub Book; Getting Clear: Body Work for Women; Moon, Moon; The Basic Back Book; co-author of Feminism as Therapy; and illustrator of The Massage Book. Rush was on the training staffs of Alyssum Center and of Esalen Institute in California, was a partner in Moon Books, and has taught in the U. S. and Europe. She wrote and illustrated Greta Bear Goes to Yellowstone National Park, the first in a series of children's travel books on wildlife conservation.
