Avy Claire is an artist specializing in painting, drawing, and installation, with a career spanning over 35 years that includes landscape design and artistic residencies. Her art is inspired by nature, coastal Maine, and the theme of "the messy place that is our world," often using an intuitive, gestural process with tools like palette knives and squeegees. She received her BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University and has exhibited widely, including solo shows at Cynthia Winings Gallery.
