- Golden OPEN Slow Drying Acrylics Fave colors: Benzimidazolone Yellow; Nickel Azo Yellow; India Yellow; Pyrrole Red; Manganese Blue; Ultramarine Blue; Dioxazine Purple; Phthalo Green (Blue Shade); Green Gold; Titan Green Pale; Titan Buff; Van Dyke Brown; Carbon Black; Bone Black, Iridescent Pearl. I learned about monoprinting via gelatin plate with these slow drying acrylics while at the Golden Foundation Residency and have loved the process ever since.
- Gelatin Plates I personally use the 5 x 7 and 8 x 10 plates
- Bondo "Plastic Spreaders" I prefer to use a squeege than brayer for this, but also use my hands
- Magic Colored Pencil I love any and all kinds of "multi-color" colored pencils (not exactly sure what they're called). Use them all the time for everything.
- Metal Palette Knife
- Black Nitrile Gloves I prefer black over other colors I've gotten in the past (teal, blue, etc.). Wearing gloves is part of my painting routine (especially a must with oil painting) and couldn't do without them.
- Blue shop towels (Roll) Love a blue shop towel for all kinds of paint. I love their lifespan and reusability (and of course, the color).
- Purple Painter's Tape This was introduced to me via James Parker Foley via Jimmy Viera and have been in love since. Extra delicate and even gentler than blue tape (and yes again, the color is a great bonus).
- Rhodia Dot Pad I'm not necessarily brand specific with sketch/drawing pads, just collect all different kinds over the years, but love this brand and the dotted grid
- Strathmore 300 Series Printmaking Paper This is what I use for monoprinting
- Golden Pastel Ground Admittedly, I use this when oil painting, but I could talk about how much I love this for ages. Used to create a toothy surface for drawing and painting on other kinds of supports.
