Rock Smock 1

Cassie McGettigan is a textile designer, researcher, and trail walker who works primarily in fabric silkscreen. In 2008, she co-founded Gravel & Gold (also my place of employment for 4 years back in the golden era of San Francisco) She is also a sister, auntie (to many), educator, mother, and ineffable creator to the nth degree. When asked to participate in the Rock Show, Cassie went to work with the medium she so loves to engage with; textiles! She took to creating a line of garments, both functional and artistic, so that wearers may look great while also having many pockets to gather and collect the numerous rocks that they fall in love with on a hike or beach comb. Bless her 🙏 She now lives and maintains a studio practice in Bolinas, California. Lately there has been a lot of quilting.
