Swede Plaut
Sedgwick, ME
For 76 years Swede Plaut has had to keep his hands busy (we think there’s an acronym for that). He plays with wood, clay, wax, silver, gold, pencil and paper, bronze. There has been a graphic design business and a gallery (He's found myself not well suited for dealing with self-obsessed artists like myself. Hats off to Em for her special talent). He landed in Maine in 2015 and spent a few years in an off-grid cabin on Eggemoggin Reach. There, Swede picked up bits of wood and watched boats sail past, hence the pieces you see here.
