Viarco's special pastel crayons are not soft pastels, but not entirely oil pastels either. They are suitable for use on rough paper, as well as wood and stone. This allows for use on uneven and challenging surfaces where other crayons do not adhere well. Not suitable for very smooth surfaces. For professional use on wood, stone and fabric.
