"It is one of a small series of sculptures I made early in the pandemic when making anything at all creative seemed trivial, and it was generally much easier to focus on more mundane, utilitarian tasks. Using materials found around the ranch where I was living. Discarded and abandoned bits. And also spending a lot of time walking and in nature, and collecting little special finds like that rock."
