ART SUPPLY: An Ephemeral Art Supply Shop + Exhibition of Maine Artists & Their Most-Loved Art Supplies

This winter, ART SUPPLY invites the community to step inside an ephemeral art supply shop created by and for artists. Working alongside an inspired group of Maine artists, we asked them to share lists of their most-used and loved studio materials, then sought to bring these treasures together into a one-of-a-kind, Artist-driven art supply shop. The result is not just an art store, but an immersive experience — a celebration of the materials that make art possible. Running from December 2025 through February 2026, the ART SUPPLY shop will be stocked with the essential materials that the practicing Maine artists can’t live without — the paints, papers, brushes, snacks and tools that inspire their daily creative practice.
A concurrent exhibition within the ART SUPPLY walls will feature works by these contributing artists, showcasing how each uses their favorite materials in practice. It’s a tribute to both the material and the maker — and an invitation for visitors to find their own spark of inspiration to take home for the winter season.
